Young Scots of the Year

An annual awards scheme in recognition of outstanding work in the community by young people between the ages of 18 and 30. The awards are made in memory of the distinguished journalist, Arnold Kemp, former editor of the Herald. The main award for 2008 went for the first time to a group rather than an individual – Youth End Poverty Dundee, which works to combat poverty at home and abroad.
The award was presented at a ceremony in Glasgow, at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, in March 2009.
